And the Winners are…

A clear, almost cool night was a perfect setting in Charlottesville on Friday night, September 2 for the 25th Annual Exhibition of the Central Watercolor Guild! Guests nibbled on cake and wine, enjoyed the music of local musician Greg Brown, and heard James Warwick Jones, general manager of the Charles H. Taylor Art Center in Hampton, VA critique the paintings and announce the winners.

Best in Show ($800 award): Holland (Holly) Wentz Etheridge, “Surviving”

Juror’s Choice ($500 award): Nancy Stark, Roanoke, “Rusting in Roanoke”

CVWG Memorial Award ($300 Award): David Eakin, Forest, “First, the Egg”

Eloise Gardiner Giles Honorary Award ($250 Award): Amy Snowden, Williamsburg, “Wisdom”

Awards of Excellence ($200 each)
