Combining Camaraderie with Creativity
There’s not much time left to see this year’s Virginia Watercolor Society Exhibition–it closes January 7, 2018. But if you are looking for an outing over the holidays, I can thoroughly recommend a visit to Winchester.
The show is being held at The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley. The galleries are spacious and well lit. They provide a perfect setting for some amazing art. Congratulations to six members of CVWG who are represented: Brenda Hounshell, Sue Linthicum, Julie Read, Peg Sheridan, Marcy Springett and Don Whitson.
The Museum of the Shenandoah Valley is closed on Mondays and free on Wednesdays; On other days there is an admission charge ($8:00 seniors). Don’t let this deter you from going! Besides other interesting exhibits in the main building, there is the neighboring Glen Burnie house and gardens to be enjoyed as well.
