July Program with Peg Sheridan

Peg Sheridan ProgramOn Monday, July 22nd CVWG members were treated to a slide show and painting demonstration by our fellow member, Peg Sheridan. Her slide show used master and contemporary painters to illustrate the value of using neutrals and grays in our paintings. Some of the artists recommended for inspiration include Wyeth, Sargent, Whistler, Turner as well as Castagnet and Dobie.

Peg also demonstrated a variety of techniques to apply paint to create neutrals and grays. She shared some of her favorite color combinations of Bright Orange/Prussian Blue, Cobalt Green/Quinacridone Magenta and Bismuth Yellow/Mineral Violet emphasizing how contrasting colors can create beautiful neutral colors much like she uses in her own work.
