The Lynchburg Art Club presents the 2nd Annual Paint Out Lynchburg, April 28-30, 2017. Last year’s event had 55 artists participating from across Virginia and a few from Maryland and North Carolina. This year we have over $1,700 in cash awards. We are excited to have Randolph College and the Maier Museum of Art as sponsors for this year’s event. There will be artist and sponsor receptions on Friday evening, April 28, at the Lynchburg Art Club and Saturday evening, April 29, at the Maier Museum of Art. These receptions are included in your entry fee. Remember to register by April 11th to receive the $45 Early Bird discount. The Virginia Watercolor Society’s 38th Juried Exhibition, October 14- January 7, 2017 at the Museum of the Shenandoah Valley, Winchester. Submission deadline online:June 1. Touchstone Gallery in Washington DC is seeking entries for “ART OF ENGAGEMENT,” a National Juried Show scheduled for August 4 – 24, 2017.
Artwork entries should reflect present-day issues and concerns. Be part of a national conversation about important issues using the universal language of art. Be bold, stand up, and speak out! Be an artist and an activist.
